Vehicle description
NO SMOG CONTROLS. If your state requires emission testing for registration, this truck has been modified and will not pass, here in Michigan this is not an issue. Actual mileage is unknown, odometer shows 75,000 but it probably has rolled over. I bought this truck in 2011 in Boise Idaho, it has never been in salt, kept in garage during winter here in Michigan. Senior citizen owned, never abused. Overall theme of modifications is to keep truck factory stock looking and to increase towing capabilities. Some photos are kinda old, most recent exterior shots are those with the white wagon wheels. 16X8 steel wheels, 245/75r16 Firestone Destination LE2 All Season tires with less than 1500 miles on them (they came from my 2020 Tacoma). Goodwrench 350 engine, TCI Streetfighter Turbo 350 transmission, Hughes Performance 1800 rpm stall towing torque converter, stock 3.42 non posi rear end. 2800 rpm at 70 mph. Weiand 144 Supercharger 10 rib drive belt with smallest available upper pulley 5 to 6 psi indicated boost. Premium fuel required. Snow Performance water methanol injection to eliminate detonation. Gets about 9 mpg city 12 highway. 42 gallon gas tank. Heat wrapped long tube headers with full 3 inch exhaust system that discreetly dump in front of rear tires. Total of four mufflers, two straight through Magnaflows, two Walker QuietFlows, reasonably quiet. Edelbrock 750 vacuum secondary carburetor on top of insulating base gasket. Dakota Digital cruise control. MSD Distributor. Vintage Air heat and A/C, A/C has refrigerant leak, never bothered to fix it, just drive with windows open buts gets rid of those pesky factory vacuum operated controls. Desert duty two row radiator with mechanical flex fan and two electric fans in front. Optima battery. Fluid Damper Street Damper harmonic balancer. New 78 amp AC Delco alternator. New starter, water pump, wiper motor, Edelbrock fuel pump. Rewired bumper to bumper with dedicated Painless Wiring wiring harness, no crimp connectors anywhere on this truck, all connections are soldered. Custom Auto Sound head unit, 600 watt Pioneer amplifier, custom speakers mounted in all four doors, 12 inch subwoofer in back. H4 halogen headlights with 80 watt low beams, 100 watt high beams. Oversized aftermarket front sway bar. Rancho front shocks. Overload rear shocks. Traction bars. Auxiliary transmission oil cooler with transmission temperature guage. Now for the negative: engine leaks oil, started when I installed Edelbrock aluminum two piece timing chain cover. I’ve pulled the oil pan about 4 times trying to fix it using various types of gaskets, but it still leaks enough to be annoying. Blue paint is uneven, white paint is ok. Headliner is held up with about 900 staples, looks surprisingly good, all things considered. Rust repair on rear passenger side door the size of a quarter this door is painted green inside so it is not original to the truck. Left front turn signal is wired into right rear turn signal so it goes on when brakes are applied.
