1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi QV For Sale in Corvallis, Oregon 97333
If you are searching for a collectable late model exotic vehicle that incorporates world renowned power and performance, your search has ended. Behold this 1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole.
From its origins as the Dino to everlasting fame as Magnum P.I.’s ride, the 308 is still perhaps the most recognized Ferrari. The iconic low stance of this car is made possible by the mid-engine design, permitting a signature silhouette which combines a sleek and unbroken roof and coach line that Ferrari continues to employ today. It was introduced at the Auto Salon du Paris in 1975. “Stunning to look at”, “dramatic”, “sensuous” and “pleasant from every angle” are just a few of the comments the Pininfarina styling elicited.
The 308 GTS was made in limited numbers from 1975-1985 and showcased advanced and highly innovative engineering from the first. The 308"s running gear consists of a V-8 (90-degree) twin overhead camshaft engine flawlessly mated to a five speed manual transmission. Starting in 1982 the car was upgraded with Bosch K Jetronic fuel-injection and Marelli Digiplex electronic ignition which improved reliability and lowered emissions.
The car handles like a dream. The steering is so direct, responsive and predictable that the driver almost feels as if his nerve endings are connected to the road via the tires. It corners with almost no roll and delightful mid-engine handling. At normal road speeds it’s very neutral, at the limit there’s a mild understeer, and if you back off the throttle when cornering hard, the 308 tightens its line slightly. This combination results in a safe and predictable car for novice and experienced drivers alike.
This 308 GTSi QV boasts Ferrari’s iconic color of Ferrari Racing Red and features a Connolly tan leather interior. This car comes loaded with air conditioning, tinted glass with heated rear window, quartz clock, four wheel ventilated brakes, limited slip differential, Bosch K-Jetronic Fuel Injection with Lambada Control, 5-Speed Gearbox with Oil cooler and pump. It also boasts electric power windows, left and right side view mirrors, door locks, a retractable electric antenna and a Blaupunkt car stereo. Also, this particular car comes with two tops (a red top and a black top) and two sets of wheels; the original set plus a set of Speedline wheels and additional Ferrari inserts. It has all of the original tools and even the original window sticker. Owner"s operating manual and Warranty and Service Book are included. Maintenance has been performed by authorized Ferrari mechanics.
This 1985 Ferrari 308 QV has been meticulously maintained and has always been garage kept so the car retains its original luster. The car is over thirty years old, but has only logged 29,300 miles, or about 1000 miles a year, just enough to prevent the issues that come with a "Garage Queen." She has been run enough to remain in robust health, but without racking up additional mileage.
Car serviced by Ferrari dealership, including new timing belts, August 2018.
