Up for auction is an absolutely beautiful 1985 Chevrolet K10 Silverado 4x4 pickup with just 95,992 original miles. This truck remained in Washington State its entire life until being relocated to Northern Idaho in early 2021. This K10 has been very well preserved and retains all original paint with the exception of the driver"s bedside, which was resprayed in 2004, and what appears to be a small spot repair on the passenger bedside. The truck came factory equipped with a 305 V8 mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission, however the drivetrain was replaced in favor of a Blueprint Engines 383 Stroker crate engine rated at 405 horsepower and 440 lbft and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The 383 has been fitted with a Holley Sniper EFI unit and runs incredibly well. In addition to the powertrain upgrades, this truck has also been fitted with an 8" Superlift full leaf spring lift kit, custom front and rear drivelines and 37x13.50x15 Super Swamper Radial TSL tires mounted on the factory rally wheels.
The interior of this K10 is largely original and shows very well despite its age. The original seat cover has a few separations in the fabric as shown on the driver"s side, but is completely intact otherwise. The original carpets show very well with just a few small areas of deterioration near the seat tracks. The original GM rubberized floor mats remain in the cab. A brand new steel reinforced vinyl-wrapped dash pad has just been installed as well as new Silverado brushed aluminum door panel trim. Brand new power window motors have been installed in the passenger and driver doors and the power locks work flawlessly. All of the gauges work with the exception of the factory coolant temperature gauge as the coolant temperature is now displayed on the Holley Sniper screen. The factory clock still works. The cruise control is no longer hooked up and the A/C is inoperable as the compressor has been removed. An aftermarket CD player has been installed, however all of the factory speaker locations have been retained and the doors remain uncut.
The exterior of this K10 looks incredible. The paint has a very deep shine and the body is very straight. The truck does have several small dings, chips and fine scratches typical of an original truck of this age. The paint has become thin on some of the body lines from being washed over the years, however the truck wears the patina very well. The body is very rust free and solid with only a few minor blisters in the lower cab corners as shown. The rockers, inner rocker boxes, floor pans, door bottoms, fenders, quarters and bed floor are all rock solid as shown below. The undercarriage is very solid with only minor surface rust on the frame and suspension components.
The engine in this K10 is Blueprint Engine"s BP3830CT1 crate engine which features a 4 bolt main block, 9.5:1 compression ratio with hypereutectic pistons, Clevite bearings, Hastings Moly rings, Melling high volume oil pump, heavy duty double roller timing set and GM Vortec cast iron cylinder heads with 2.02" swirl polished intake valves and 1.60" swirl polished exhaust valves. The cam is a hydraulic flat tappet with 220/224 duration @.050" and .495"/.502" lift on a 114 degree LSA. The engine is fitted with an MSD Pro Billet distributor and 6AL ignition box, Hooker long tube headers and hooker mufflers. The transmission is a fully rebuilt TH400 fitted with a B&M Holeshot converter with a 2400rpm stall speed.
The transmission was installed 12/21/2006 at 89,737 miles. The engine was installed in 2009 along with the torque converter and both are believed to have approximately 5,000 miles.
Included with the sale is the original owner"s manual and warranty pamphlet as well as various receipts for parts and labor over the past 20 years. The Blueprint Engines dyno result sheet is also included and is shown below.
