Vehicle description

1984 Westy 1.9 liter with manual transmission in classic Assuan brown. Interior is terrific with plaid cushions and a new tent top from GoWesty installed summer 2020. A stainless steel GoWesty exhaust system was installed in 2017.
Odometer reads 140,695 miles, but van has only 25,000 miles on a rebuilt engine from GEX.
New drums and a tune up at the Beetle Shop in Belfast, Maine, where they specialize in old VW"s.
Fuel lines and coolant pipes will need to be replaced before too long but she runs and drives great. We spent four months in her this past spring/summer hiding from the pandemic.
Refrigerator, stovetop and sink all work but propane tank needs replacing.
Minor rust in the usual places, which have been maintained as you can see in the photos. Underneath is in excellent condition having been sprayed with protectant.
Rear bumper is dented, and small body work done at right rear corner which has been filled but not painted. We have the paint kit with primer, matching paint and clear coat we just haven’t applied it yet.
Just installed a new interior slider door panel from Go Westy. Extra set of curtains, comes with front window screens from Go Westy and rear hatch screen as well as GoWesty middle console. After market GoWesty heavy duty high offset window cranks and after market speakers and stereo. Stereo functions fine but sticks out slightly from the dash. Also comes with cover and both Haynes and Bentley Service Manuals.
Front tires 1 year old, needs new rear tires.
We love the van (Frida) like a family member. The reason we"re selling is we recently moved into an off grid cabin and need a better car to get up our mile long dirt road. The van is currently under her cover here waiting for her next adventure.
Question? Need more pictures? Let us know.
PLEASE NOTE! The van is currently in Maine and will need to be picked up there or arrangements made in advance of purchase.
