Vehicle description
For sale one used 1984 HURST OLDSMOBILE. NO RESERVE. Relisted due to non paying, non contacting bidder. Please due not bid if you are not serious. I reserve the right to cancel bids of low or non feedback bidders. If you are a low feedback please contact me before bidding. Number 1532 of 3500 produced. Right off the bat this car does not run, I did not attempt to get it running, it does not have a battery. The oil and antifreeze do not appear to be mixed, motor does turn. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt, vacuum lines for intake are dry rotted. Bought this car as a project. Upon further revue it needs a lot more work than I have time for. On the bright side this car is super solid except for the bottom of the doors. I cannot find any rust on this car beside the doors. Quarter panels are rock solid, no bodywork apparent. Exhaust appears to be new, OEM looking, quality job. Dash is cracked, interior is tired looking. This car is suffering from neglect, sat outside for at least 8 years. Started buying parts, headlight bezels weatherstrip etc, everything pictured is included. Found a nice pair of Super Stock wheels put on a pair of new BFG Radial T/As, 245/60 they go with the car. Not pictured but included is a complete intake off of a 83 Hurst Olds, aluminum manifold, 4v Carb and air cleaner which is pictured. Odometer shows 49,xxx miles, believe that this could be true based on condition of pedals. Car was last titled in august of 2001 with 46505 miles. The gentleman I bought this car from stated that he hardly ever drove it. I believe him, he had 2004 Dodge Rumblbee under a cover in his garage that had less than 1000 miles on it. Parts for this car are easily available, G Body Parts offers complete doors and patch panels. Car is sold where is ,as is. No warranty given or implied. Buyer responsible for shipping. I will help load, I will cooperate with a shipper. Buyer to pay a $500.00 nonrefundable deposit within 48 hours of end of auction. I am a Ford and Mercury enthusiast, But I love all American muscle, hope I did not offend anyone, not really. If I should keep this car I would go with turn key 350 GM Crate motor, they are relatively inexpensive. I believe this car should be preserved. Going to lose money on this one, my loss could be your gain. Happy Bidding and thanks to all of our veterans!
