Vehicle description
Offered is a used 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park LS Station Wagon with 40,000 Original Miles. The wagon is the LS model extremely loaded, power windows, locks, power seats, cruise control, intermittent wipes, A/C, stereo, amplifiers, remote mirrors L & R, auto headlamps, and tilt steering wheel.
The vehicle was purchased by my father 06/14/84. It was sold as new with 9895 miles on it. It was sold by Wilkens Lincoln Mercury Inc, and was used as their demo car. It has been owned by 1 family for over 33 yrs. Car was garaged for 22 yrs. MN. For 5 years it was intermittently garaged. Then in 2009 I moved to NC and has been garaged ever since.
Maintenance has been minor, but kept up. Routine oil changes, filters, and lubrication. The battery, exhaust system, tires, front brake pads & rotors replaced, as well as a bad ignition coil.
Exterior is very good, no dents or scratches, and never been in an accident. Paint was dingy and dull, so I had it repainted. Did not want my father looking down and worrying no one is taking care his my car.
The underside has normal weather exposure for a car of its age, with minor surface rust on the components. Also there is blemish on left rear side quarter panel in the faux wood grain, as seen in the photos.
Interior has immaculate beige velour up front, leather aft side-facing seats rarely used. The aft seating area interior composite panels shows signs of sun fading and a little deterioration. Panels are in good condition with no cracks or chips. Headliner was replaced due to sagging.
Runs and drives great. I have put 4000 miles on it since 2011.
