You are looking at a 1984 380 SL Mercedes. This car is a one of a kind classic from the mid 1980"s. Every time this car is out of the road people always turn there heads because these cars are not seen on the road very often. I am the 3rd owner of this car, the reason I have decided to sell it is because I have to many projects going on and I think it"s time to find it a new home. This car is not a daily driver it only comes out on the weekends when it"s warm weather other then that spends most of it"s time in the garage. This car has always been maintained since I have owned it, I bought this car back in 2008 and have done a lot of work to it to get it where it is today. What I have done to it as for maintenance to this car is I have put new cam shafts in, with new oil rails for the cams, new lifters and rockers including new shims for and replaced the valve stem seals. I also had installed a new oil pump for the engine as the old oil pump was weak. As for the air conditioner, it has been converted from R12 to R134, I had the compressor replaced last year including a new blower motor including a new dryer. When I bought the car I had a new canvass top installed including a windscreen as shown in the pictures. All the parts installed on this car for engine and interior related are genuine OEM Mercedes parts. Recently the car went in for a full tune up and brake servicing. I also replaced the battery on the car when I bought it, and installed for the battery since the car is not on the road a lot a power on/ off switch in the trunk above the battery compartment so when it is sitting for a long length of time the battery is not being drained. This car also has European Headlights, side markers and tail lenses and this is equipped with a rear fog light which I had installed a few year back. I also changed the wheels on the car when I bought this car it came with OEM R129 alloy wheels, I have since then put original Dayton wire wheels with a spinner knock off on this car and changed the steering wheel I also re-did the speaker system and radio for this car. The car is listed and titled as a classic. The only things needing to be done with this car is some paint work and addressing 3 rust spots on the rear side of the car.
