Vehicle description

1984 300CD older restoration by previous Owner, ran and drove acceptably when I last had it out, but not surprisingly acceleration was a bit sluggish, prime suspect was the ALDA turbo boost system/banjo bolt sooting, according to the DieselGiant.com website. This vehicle was purchased out of desire to round out 1984 w123, 300 series turbodiesel collection of 300D sedans, and 300SD but was mainly acquired, titled, registered insured and parked in garage/forgotten , daily driving, repairs and upkeep of 3 powerstroke turbodiesel trucks, "95 E300D/w124 and wifes Volvo V50 has taken precedence over paying attention to the "Collection" cars and recent lay off/retirement activity has inspired the sale of this vehicle. Over several years of ownership CD has been driven less than 1000 miles, just too many cars/trucks/cycles for one person to drive, the urge to acquire was stronger than any need to operate this car, so it has been garaged, sitting waiting for someone who can pay a little more attention to it. Battery has been maintained, and I am more than sure it will start and drive, only shortcoming I can recall is the rear bumper rubber rub strip is missing/not attached, Air conditioning does not blow cold, image shows some chipped veneer on the center console, I honestly don"t recall much else and with all the other nonsense going on have no time to focus on minutiae. There was some vehicle previous history that came along with the car, provided I can find it, I am currently aspiring to clean, organize and discard to avoid being declared a full blown "Hoarder", recovering from the shock of being laid off from my job, and pondering what my next move into the future should be, is all but consuming me, and although letting go is indeed painful, letting go will be truly be the cathartic start of a new chapter in my Life.
