“Up for sale is an incredibly original hard to find Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. It has been in California its whole life until I received it in May of this year. It has never been repainted and has survived remarkably well. The floors, body, frame, bed are all rock solid. The only areas of rust are minimal - one area around the passenger windshield hinge and one area by the drivers side windshield wiper arm. It runs and drives well for an older Jeep. The engine does not smoke and is quiet. The transmission shifts well and clutch engages properly. It releases more toward the top, but does not slip. The only areas of attention are minor. The fuel gauge does not work, its missing the passenger vent window knob, the headlight switch button is missing, the drivers side seat is torn from use, and the steering wheel emblem is missing. The interior is original except for the radio. The hard top and spare rear seat come with it. Please call 706-207-1448 with any questions.” |

Vehicle description
Feel free to request additional info. I have tried to list as much as I can think of, but I might have missed something. I originally got this Scrambler to keep for a long time, but in this crazy world here of late, things change. I bought it because it was so original and had such a solid body. It can be driven just like it is, as I do now, or it can be fully restored with hardly any body work to do and no rust to fix except just around the windshield area. It has power steering and power brakes, but no AC. The only things altered to this Jeep were the addition of a 2" suspension lift some time ago and the rear end was converted over to locking hubs - that"s right - both the front and rear axles have locking hubs. Something you don"t see often. Scramblers are getting harder to find. Either they are basket cases or trailer queens. This is neither - just a survivor original Scrambler. I have a reasonable reserve price, but did not list the Jeep with a buy it now feature due to the fact that too many people click buy it now, then the auction ends and they don"t pay. Good luck bidding! This vehicle is located in North Georgia.
