1984 Jeep CJ7. Originally a California Jeep, I found this at a lot in Missouri and bought it as an example to help me reassemble my other Jeep. It was in such great shape, I restored/modified this one in 2002 and drove it occasionally over many years. The engine is balanced/blueprinted, with Clifford Tri-Y headers, and custom stainless exhaust, a Clifford intake with a Holley 390 carburetor. Davis Unified Ignition with completely new Centech wiring throughout. T-5transmission and a Dana 300 transfer case. The AMC 20 rear (3.54) axle and Dana 30 (3.30) front axle are mismatched,and serve as working placeholders. It needs front driveshaft u-joints.
The body tub is original, sandblasted, then spray-in coated in and out (Arma Coating). DuPontChromabase/chromaclear Viper Red paint. Wrangler steel half-doors with Bestop top and sliding glass upper half doors. Stainless steel dashboard and Tuffy center console with matching key rear fender storage boxes in rear.
