Up for sale is a very unique 80"s collectible. Here we have a rare, 1984 Dodge 600 ES Turbo convertible. Mopar entered the turbo game in 1984 and introduced the 600 ES to compete with the competition. This package included a special handling and firm feel steering package as well as digital instrumentation, Mark Cross leather seating, "pizza style" alloy wheels, hood vents, truck lid luggage rack and special badging. Plus, of course the 2.2 liter fuel injected turbocharged engine. Very few of these were produced and even fewer survived.
This is a great survivor car having but one quality repaint at some point in it"s life. Just over 41,000 original miles showing on the odometer and it"s overall condition shows. The interior is in near perfect condition. All power equipment works from all 4 windows to the power locks and even the power drivers seat (yes, it"s even equipped with that!). The full digital instrumentation works as does the original stereo. What is not currently operating is the air conditioning. All components are present but does not blow cold air. I"m not going to be that guy that says it just needs a charge because we know, that"s usually not the case. Everything else with the car operates as designed which is unusual a car of this vintage. Proof it"s been well cared for.
Mechanically it"s very sound. Recent tune up and fluid changes using Mopar original parts. Also, the fuel pump was recently replaced. There"s really nothing mechanically to speak of that needs replacement. The car is extremely turn key.
80"s cars are really coming into their own in the hobby. Cars like this are the ones to scoop up. These in particular are great because they are very easy to work on and parts are readily available. Drive it to the next cruise night and I guarantee you"ll be the only one there and you will probably generate a crowd.
