Vehicle description
Clean 1983 4x4 sr5 survivor. All matching numbers. No Rust. I attached a photo of the carpet pulled up where the floors always rusts out on the First Gens. It is in perfect condition in the cab with original blue paint on the floor and under the cab everywhere. Clean OEM all original interior. Original headliner (no tears in roof headliner or A-frame liner), 2 OEM original BLUE seats (holes on driver side vinyl edge, passenger side is clean no holes minimal fabric wear on both seats), door panels (tear on driver side only, passenger is in good condition). Factory optioned power steering. Original OEM floor mats Original OEM owners manual Original OEM tool kit (OEM Toyota parts were used whenever available. All original parts were rebuilt except the starter, master cylinder, slave cylinder and wear items like brakes, seals etc. ) 5k on professionally rebuilt original to the truck 22r 5k on original professionally rebuilt L52 5 speed transmission Rebuilt oem original carburetor. Front and Rear spartan lockers. All new seals and bearings in front and rear axles. 5k on New oem front axle shafts. 5.29 gears new Luk clutch Marlin Crawler HD Cases and marlin mc07 adapter 2.28:1 front 4.70:1 rear case (only 5k Miles) Original alternator. New starter New brakes on all 4 corners New master cylinder New slave cylinder Brand New 35/12.50r15 BFG KM2 tires Custom built Front and Rear drivelines Custom Heavy duty square tube rear bumper. Led undercarriage lights Also has a pioneer avic-D3 GPS navigation unit that is nicely fitted into the original dash. Bazooka subwoofer behind seat (not bolted down so can easily be removed) 192,700 original miles on dash. But approximately 5k on the full build that was completed at 187,811.
This Truck has factory original AC option. The compressor and system all work, but there is a leak in one of the lines that will need to be fixed and the system re-charged, to be 100% functioning.
Currently registered until June 2019. Just smogged this week. I have a binder full of receipts for the build. This truck has always been babied, and has never been thrashed on. It has been meticulously maintained. No accidents, body lines and gaps are right on. Doors close tight without having to slam them shut, both door locks work. I have two sets of keys. windows roll up and down, rear window slides and locks.
Thousands of dollars have been invested into the running gear on this pickup to make it a very strong little platform. With paint and cosmetic attention to detail this could be a unique show piece that looks OEM Original but has mild offroad capabilities. It’s the perfect combo and the build has been tastefully done to look as OEM as possible. With the option to return to stock condition if desired.
Comes with extra OEM grill and front bumper. comes with toyota ifs steering box for a future crossover steering conversion. comes with a set of manual heated 2011 bucket seats with switches and wiring harness if you want to swap seats.
I drive this daily and it"s very reliable. It has no problems cruising at 70 mph down the highway at low rpm"s. No pulls, no wandering, no shaking, no vibrations. Runs awesome cruising around town no weird noises other than the tailgate shackles rattling (all do this unless you can find a set of the plastic snap on noise isolator bushings). Idles so smooth waiting at the stop lights. Starts quickly on first turn of the key every morning. It would be very easy to put this truck back to stock condition by deleting the Dual cases. They can be resold for a good amount of money and are a very popular mod.
