Vehicle description
This is a 1983 Jeep Cj7 that was previously restored from the frame up over 10 years ago. Ford 5.8l 351w engine with a t-18 ford transmission (granny 1st for rock crawling) and a dana 300 transfer case. 33in tires. Advance adapter headers and transfer case adapter. The front diff has an easy locker that has been welded to be fully locked at all times. Warn hubs. I have a free extra front axle with ring and pinion if you are interested. Rear diff is factory. Hays 40lb flywheel, centerforce clutch, 4bbl carb, and upgraded front driveshaft. A Bluetooth head unit has been installed in the center console and it has 2 rear speakers. This jeep had a recent front end alignment. 2in rear shackle lift and 2 inch lift front springs. Purple hornies side pipes. I have a set of aftermarket mufflers and cats sold separately. Grey aftermarket front seats with racing belts and a fold n tumble rear seat. This vehicle is used and has some defects. The frame had rust issues and has been patched and coated with por-15. Also, the factory wiring harness has been modified and it has custom wiring with a wiring diagram included. The windshield frame is rusted on the inside where it was poorly patched and on the outside as seen in pictures. The engine has had a small tick around idle since I have owned this jeep and has a slow oil leak around the oil pan/ oil fill caps on the valve covers. Engine has good oil pressure and the rod and main bearings were previously replaced. The power steering pump could be mounted better (it shakes) and the steering gear box has a slow leak. There was over 15k invested when it was built and it is painted 1977 corvette yellow. The top was taken off at some point, got wet, and has stains on the inside and rear passenger corner as seen in pics. Sometimes the carburetor float sticks a bit causing a low idle and it throws flames/backfires out the side pipes. The e brake cable sticks and to fully release the e brake you must pull on the cable underneath. On the brighter side I just replaced the fuel sending unit and the fuel gauge is working. I also replaced a leaking header gasket and installed a dash cover. Very fun to drive. If I were to keep this jeep I would change out all the fluids next. I checked the transmission and transfer case not to long ago but am unsure of the differentials. Rear view mirror needs glued back on. Jeep is very loud and fun to drive. Not currently inspected and sold as is, no warranty.
