Vehicle description

Chevrolet Malibu . Condition is Used. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu 9CI police package car ( VIN #1G1AW69H4DR262113) , restored to a tribute PA State Police car. The PA State Police used the 1983 Malibu for their fleet. This car originated as a police car from the Montgomery County, Maryland police dept. I have a copy of the car"s original dealer order indicating that it was purchased for Montgomery County, as a police package 9C1 car. This car has a 5.0 liter (305 CI) engine with a 4 bbl carb. The car runs and sounds perfect. Has dual exhausts and it sounds good. This car needs nothing. The car was never stored outside. The paint is great, the frame is great, and the interior is great. No rips or tears inside anywhere. Seats were re-upholstered back when it was restored by a previous owner with the correct GM cloth/vinyl interior. I purchased the car about 3 1/2 years ago and it was in very nice condition, but over the past years of ownership I strived to make it even better. I had the hood re-painted with the correct PSP blue due to some old crazing in the paint. Several very minor areas on the body were addressed by a professional paint/body shop. The car has the correct GM factory radio delete plate.Matching front and rear PA Official Plates. Correct rubber flooring for a police package car. Correct white rallye wheels with correct hub cap covers. The vehicle has approx. 117,000 miles. No leaks. I had numerous service items addressed either by myself or by a local mechanic shop. All fluids were replaced just to be on the safe side. This car drives like a dream and its basicly in perfect operating condition. The car is equipped with the correct (extremely rare) Whelen 5000PA strobe light as used by the Pa State Police during this time period, along with the "mouse ear" roof mounted lights that activate with the brakes and the 4 way flashers. Other equipment includes a rare GE Powercall Siren control and a Motorola Micor radio head, along with a Midland CB radio. All the equipment works perfectly. This car is marked as a Troop S interstate car out of the Swiftwater Barracks. Troop S was later disbanded in the late 90s and interstate duties were given to the other local barracks that were near the interstate system. GM did not mark their speedometers as "certified" until the late 80"s, so it is correct in not having a marked certified speedo in a 1983 Chevrolet police package car. Right after I bought the car I had 4 new BG Goodrich radial TA"s put on it. They are still basicly new in appearance. This car is absolutely a turn key car that can be enjoyed immediately by the new owner. The trunk area is excellent and included with the car is an original Goodyear Eagle spare, a PSP first aid kit, a marked PSP fire extinguisher, and a set of red flag "spider" highway markers in storage tubes. All the equipment is original PSP used. The new owner is responsible for arranging shipping if required. Ive purchased several cars over the years and they all needed truck shipping. I was easily able to arrange shipping myself thru Uship.com. I will assist the driver in loading the car. Feel free to message me if you have any concerns or questions and I will be happy to answer them. Im sure I forgot something in the description so feel free to ask. Vehicle has a "clear" PA title. Required within 24 hrs of winning the auction is a $500 Paypal deposit. Full payment is then required within 5 days after end of auction. I will only accept bank certified check, cash, or bank wire transfer for the remainder.
