Vehicle description

1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce.
I"ve owned this vehicle for 15 years, and bought it from a friend who owned it for 5 years. I"ve summarized some receipts I have to underscore the basic reason one would buy this - it"s relatively well sorted mechanically. But it needs a lot of body work. I don"t know how to do body work. I was going to teach myself, but I accidentally bought a 911 and this has to go.
Those are real Campagnolo wheels - 5 of them. Very little curb rash - easily fixed. I was going to powder coat them a very light bronze.
I removed the A/C about 10 years ago, when I lived up north and didn"t need A/C. I have all the parts, but for one hose, so it shouldn"t be too hard to get working if you care. The A/C didn"t work when I bought the car. I fixed it, but it didn"t blow that cold, and I didn"t want to monkey with it, so I removed it on a whim. You really don"t need it up north - just drop the top.
I would "drive anywhere" with it, but it"s got a tank of old gas, and every fluid needs to be changed, so I wouldn"t drive much before addressing that. It could also use some new fuel injectors. I have a full set of silicone hoses (included) that also should be installed as preventative maintenance.
The tach isn"t working. I think that"s all that"s not working at present. I haven"t chased down why that is - I think some internals need to be replaced - old capacitor or something similar. It has an aftermarket alarm system, with motion sensing, that does work, so you can leave the top down while you run into the store. The tires are old and should be replaced.
The seat leather is new - done by me. Real leather from Lseat.com. I also epoxy-coated the seat hardware with POR. Not much else to report - the "recent" repairs in the spreadsheet more or less highlight what"s been addressed in the last 5000 miles. This would be a decent 20 footer if you patched the holes and painted it. Would be a great parts car for a rust-free roller. Includes car cover.
Come look at it if you want. Message me through this app and we"ll set something up.
Just passed Texas inspection. Reserve the right to end the auction early if I sell locally. I will try to contact the bidders should this come to pass.
