First time offered on is our 1982 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Desirable Optioned Shortbed Hilux Survivor. The original owners special ordered this 4x4 from Lee White Toyota in San Diego California taking delivery in October of 1982. In the last 40 years, The truck has always remained a California Blue plate native, and never seen the snow. While cruising around, you will be the center of attention, while attracting many Smiles, Stories, & Thumbs Up Everywhere.

Exterior / Condition:
It’s always had its original Toyota sheet metal with ZERO accident history. The original Yellow exterior was treated to a re-spray sometime in the mid 1990’s. Though it still looks presentable for a driver, The exterior has some cosmetic issues, to be expected for being un-restored, overall the entire exterior body is really straight throughout. All the door and panel gaps appear to lineup as the day it left the Toyota assembly line. During my ownership, I was able to source and install the exact period correct vintage Grey SR5 stripes throughout. My personal goal was to drive and enjoy the Toyota, instead of turning it into a Show Winning Trailer Queen.
Interior / Features / Highlights:
The Tan vinyl interior presents itself extremely well, being it’s 40 years old. The original dash pad is in great condition. The original 3 spoke steering wheel is also in great condition. Both bucket seats are in great condition. The original center cloth headliner is original and intact. The SR5 gauge package really highlights the interior cockpit. Having the optional tachometer and supplemental SR5 gauge pod option is also nice to have.
Suspension / Chassis:
During its previous ownership, The Toyota was upgraded to a complete 2” Old Man EMU suspension upgrade. This upgrade gives the Toyota a nice overall appearance compared to the stock suspension. It offers a balance between Street and Off Road Suspension characteristics. A set of Vintage Aluminum aftermarket 15” deep dish wheels were added and wrapped in 31x10.50 15” GT Radials. Since the Toyota has always been garaged in California, The entire frame and undercarriage is completely ROCK SOLID throughout! During my ownership, My goal was to protect and preserve the Toyota as much as possible as I never planned to sell. I had the entire undercarriage professionally steam cleaned, stripped, and painted Satin Black throughout. The undercarriage looks beautiful like it did when new in 1982. Now it’s completely protected from the elements and ready to enjoy for many decades.
Drivetrain / Recent Maintenance - Highlights:
The Toyota retains It"s original 22R 2.4L 4cylinder engine and 5speed Manual Transmission. It always starts IMMEDIATELY and Runs and Shifts, GREAT. The original 2speed 4WD, high and low transfer case works great. On September 28th 2021 it PASSED Californias most strict emission requirements with Flying Colors!
