Vehicle description
I have owned this car for approximately 15 years. The car runs and drives but there are some things that you should be aware of:
1. The exterior is in good shape - paint (I believe a respray of the original color - moss green - I believe that Rolls Royce called it “ice green” or something of the sort) is shiny and in good condition, with very minor flaws (a small flaw over the right headlamp is the result of a golf ball injury, according to the period owner). Other than that, no flaws to report.
2. The interior is in dark green leather, piped in white, and is in good condition, except for two small splits in the driver’s seat (pictured). All wood (dash, and door caps), was professionally refinished by a noted Rolls Royce restorer, during my ownership.
3. The car has been parked (garage kept) without much use for the past several years. The odometer is broken and does not show the actual mileage. Also, for the entirety of my ownership the car has had an undiagnosed issue. The car starts, runs and drives, but cannot be driven for more than about 20 miles without stopping. After some time, it can be restarted, but driven for increasingly shorter distances before stoping. The problem has been looked at by a noted rolls Royce mechanic who replaced much of the fuel system, the fuel gauge, and the various engine components. Invoices totaled over $15,000. The problem remains.
