Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1982 Jeep Scrambler is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Original Survivor 1982 Jeep Scrambler in Slate Blue Metallic If you are looking for an original Scrambler with low miles (75K) and zero rot or rust then this is the one. Thank you Exterior The power train consists of the 258 CID motor, T5 five speed transmission and the standard Dana 300 transfer case. Model 20 rear differential and Dana 30 front end. This Jeep is very reliable and holds a perfect idle. The Jeep was upgraded to fuel injection with the Holley Sniper fuel injection system. This Jeep drives and stops amazing. The suspension, brand new tires and chrome rims are factory spec and have not been altered at all which is why this drives so nice. Brand new tires, new serpentine belt, cleaned gas tank with new sending unit, professionally cleaned radiator with all new hoses, new heater core ( the heater works but is not currently hooked up, it just needs the hoses run to the core, I live in AZ and knew I would not use it), new power steering hoses, plugs and wires, new Interstate battery, serviced differentials and transfer case are just some of the maintenance items completed on this Jeep. As stated above the Holley Sniper Fuel Injections system was added and retains the stock carburetor and air cleaner look. It also has a one wire HEI distributor upgrade. The engine compartment is super clean. All of the gauges work, even the gas gauge and cigarette lighter. It is missing the factory original radio. The speedometer does work, however the needle was missing or had fallen off when I bought the Jeep. The interior carpet is new as are the seat covers and foam inserts. The seats are very comfortable. The floorboards are exceptionally clean with the original paint and as stated above have zero rot, rust or repairs. The original dash pad is in good clean condition. The windshield frame gasket is new as well. The windshield wipers work and the windshield is brand new because it had some scratches that drove me crazy. The rear back glass on the 1/2 hard top is also new and the top newly refinished. Both pieces of glass are less than a week old. This Jeep was originally a soft top model. It has a factory hard top and sourced hard doors that I bought. The hard doors are not perfect but function well with new rubber window seals and key locks. They were wrapped in 3M Vinyl to match the hard top as close as possible. Jeep also comes with a bikini top. It is very difficult to find a survivor of this caliber. To find one with zero body repairs, rust and rot free is difficult. There are not any surprises on this Jeep as it is original paint and patina. These Scramblers continue to climb in value and you can be sure this is a beautiful, investment grade survivor vehicle. Ask any and all questions prior to submitting your offer. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle across the country. However, keep in mind it is a 38 year old vehicle and things can/do break. If you purchase, I highly recommend transporting it to your destination, but I am confident it would make it anywhere (just my standard disclaimer). I am happy to refer a transport guy to you after purchase. His rates are excellent. Ill be happy to hold on to the Jeep for 30 days in garaged storage after purchase. $500 immediate deposit due within 24 hours of purchase. Remaining balance is expected within 3 business days via money order or bank wire (preferred). Clean/clear AZ title in my name will be shipped within 48 hours of payment receipt.
