Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 1982 Jeep Cj7 Renegade. I have had it for several years now and have put lots of new parts into it. Currently it is not running since I just got it out of storage but in the next few days I"m gonna get it running again and post a youtube video of it running which I will link to. It was originally my high school learning project so I could learn how to work on cars and such. My goal was never to make it showroom quality but more so as a functional driver. The new parts it has are as follows- Skyjacker 2.5 inch lift (springs and shocks), rebuilt SR4 transmission, new u-joints in front axle, front driveshaft, custom built heavy duty rear driveshaft, new radiator and hoses, new timing chain, aluminum valve cover, rebuilt Carter carbertor, spark plugs, cap and rotor, new exhaust and intake gaskets, new 180 degree thermostat, new motor mounts, whole new exhaust system, new belts, new front and rear brake, repacked front wheel bearing, new transmission mounts, new heaadlights, new ebrake cables, oil pan gasket, and a Melling high flow oil pump. For specs it has an AMC 4.2 inline six, Dana 30 front axle, AMC 20 rear axle, Dana 300 transfer case, and an SR4 transmission. The tires are KO 1 32 inch BFG mud terrains with lots of tread and are in decent shape. Wheels are Centerline aluminum wheels. Before I put the Jeep in storage it ran good but did need some tuning and a few things. Namely this was a gas tank and fuel lines as the gas tank has some pin holes. Also, I would advise a Motorcraft or Weber carburetor conversion as the original Carter bbd carburetors are not the greatest. The body does have some Bondo in the sides and in the floors. The floors, rear panels, rockers, and near the roll bar mounts have all been patched. Again I was trying to make the vehicle functional while also teaching myself how to work on cars. The hood and front fender decal and paint is all original but some paint patchwork has been done. If you have any questions regarding anything please reach out to me. I have receipts for all the parts I bought as well as the clean Illinois title. Thanks for looking!
