Vehicle description
1982 Jeep CJ7 - Limited Edition Jamboree Edition. This is a CONFIRMED Jamboree as is one the Jamboree registry!
Experts believe approximately just 600 1982 Jeep Jamborees were ever manufactured by AMC. Of those original 600, approximately just 200 are known to still exist today. Jeep produced the Jambo in 1982 to honor the 30th Anniversary the Jeepers Jamboree. The Jeepers Jamboree started in 1953 and takes place on the Rubicon Trail, aka "The Devil"s Playground." I am a collector of Jeep CJs and know them very well and will be as honest and transparent with my disclosure below as much as possible.

This Jamboree is a good survivor for being almost 40 years old. According to the previous owner, the Jeep was repained years back due to a small carburetor fire. The painter was very amateur and didn"t do the best job. I"d buy this Jeep expecting to do a paint job and extremely minor exterior body work in order to make this a beautiful, super rare Jeep.
The original seats are weathered and in need replacement. Luckily J & G Classic Jeeps provides exact match, extremely high quality reproduction Jamboree seats at a very reasonable price. The interior is in outstanding condition. The floors are excellent with very minimal surface rust only. The Jeep has ZERO rot; only areas with light surface rust. This is one of the easiest candidates for a restoration that I"ve ever seen. An on-frame restoration would serve this Jeep wonderfully. Don"t get me wrong, you can get in a drive it as-is because the Jeep does show some beautiful patina.
The Jeep has 76,288 original miles, which is real low for a Jeep on this vintage. It drives well, but I cannot tell you the last time it had a service. I"d buy this Jeep expecting to do a tune up. . fluid changes, belt changes, spark plugs, etc. The T5 transmission shifts nicely.
As far as rust goes, this Jeep spent it"s entire life in California. As already mentioned, there is absolutely zero rot on this Jeep. The a-pillars, b-pillars, floor under the roll bar, etc. are all extremely solid. It"s funny how some people will spend a fortune on bondo queens instead of buying a Jeep that has outstanding bones like this one.
This Jambo is 38 years old and things can/do break unexpectedly with any vehicle of this vintage. You"re welcome to fly in and drive her home, but I highly suggest a trailer or vehicle transport. I have a transporter I work closely with and would be happy to provide you with a shipping quote prior to purchase.
If you have any questions about the Jeep, need more pictures, etc. then please don"t hesitate to call me at any reasonable hour. 520-789-0875. The Jeep is located in Vail, AZ, which is an unincorporated suburb of Tucson.
Deposit of $500 due upon accepted offer and balance due within 2 business days via bank wire or cashier"s check. Cash in person is always honored too! ;) I will mail title once payment clears via USPS Express overnight service with signature required.
