Vehicle description
1982 Camaro Z28 Indy Pace Car 1 of 363 4 Speed T-10"s produced.
For first year of its third generation, Camaro was selected as the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. Based on the Camaro Z28, which featured the first-ever use of electronic fuel injection, two specially modified examples - the primary Pace Car and a back-up - featured all-aluminum versions of the 5.7L small-block engine, producing 250 horsepower. Chevrolet produced 6,360 replicas, all powered by the 5.7L Cross-Fire Injection engine. This car is one of the two built for duty on the track. It"s the back-up car, distinguished from the replicas with clear headlamp covers and safety lights.
The Car - Full restoration, Car currently stuck in Reverse due to shifter rods, has the push down to change etc. Just out of the hospital so not crawling under there anytime soon to mess with it. Car does go through the gears, lights work, windows work etc, has rust in pictures you can see, underneath is not bad at all. When you realign the rods, good to go. It will be able to back on a trailer and they can roll it off with clutch in.
Fiberglass hood it cracked and can be all be repaired. AS STATED full restoration, not going to answer tons of questions. look at the pictures. I"ll see later about a quick video, can"t find the one I had driving around.
Car"s drive train aka tranny set up alone is worth what I"m basically asking, but this poor car needs to be brought back. You can do a quick driver repair at 5K or 15K up to you.
Cars fluids where clean, I did drain the tank when I got it, changed filters, fresh 93 etc, etc. Little tune up etc.
Biggest take away only 363 4 speeds produced. Great piece of history of the Camaro.
SOLD AS IS NO WARRANTY< NO REFUND< YOU PICK IT UP , I CAN ALSO PROVIDE A TRANSPORT TRUCK DRIVER INFO. 500 DOLLAR DEPOSIT !
