I would drive this car anywhere, but to keep the miles to a minimum it was always trailered. The engine is the only thing on the car that hasn't been replaced. 47,000 miles If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I tried to post as many photos as I could without having to put it on a lift. When car is sold I will also throw in a lot of 1982 Indy 500 memorabilia. .a lot! CALL ask for Mike Vehicle Details If your looking for a completely stock 82 pace car replica, this is not for you. I have owned this car since 1994. I'm the second owner of this vehicle. I purchased it from a Chevy dealership outside of Indianapolis who had it in his personal collection. When purchased the car had 40,000 miles on it. Since going through a speedometer change, it currently has about 47,000 miles currently on it. Never driven in the rain, and gets stored away in the winter. Only driven weekends when the weather is favorable. Sadly I have to admit that it has only been driven about 7,000 while owning it for 27 years. Always trailered unless a local show. Complete professional repaint in 2009 and decaled by reputable body shop. Reason for paint was the original paint faded badly. This car is pretty pristine and has no dents, nicks, scratches and never any rust. Sadly I've lost interest in the car show circuit and has not been shown in 10 years. .Always placed in every car show I've entered. Time for a new owner who will love this car the way I had. Starting with the exterior of the car, like I said never any rust! Never any surface rust. Paint and decals are perfect. Glass is perfect. The underside of the car is just as pristine as the rest of the car. Original paint on the underside. The factory wheels were resurfaced, and red stripes redone by professional wheel tech. The interior of the car was completely redone. New carpet and seats redone. Headliner replaced. Speedometer was changed out to the 140 mph one instead of the 80 mile factory. The interior was in great shape when I got it, but it needed a little refreshing from fade. Original front and rear floor mats! In the engine compartment is the original 305 Cross-Fire. .Like I said about 47,000 miles on it. Orginal manifold was replaced with the aftermarket Renegade manifold. (Will come with the factory original as well) Also have a spare engine compartment wiring harness. The headers have a story that go back to 1982 and a writer from Super Chevy magazine. He offered them up for sale, and I jumped on them. These are extremely rare, and Cyclone made a special Indy 500 Pace Car Edition header for a few cars including the famed original 82 Indy 500 pace car that paced the original race. He told me there were less than 10 sets of these special headers made. I have some documentation from the writer of the article. This is not a factory a/c delete. With the special headers, I chose to remove the factory a/c and smog so they can be seen, and the story that goes with them. The radiator is a new aluminum model with an electric fan. So basically everything on the engine is new. .Block is the only thing that was not touched. Transmission was upgraded to a brand new turbo 350 Monster Transmission. Suspension has been completely been redone with adjustable Spohn trailing arms, pan hard bar and bigger sway bars. Torque arm is an adjustable UMI performance with a UMI transmission adapter. Brand new KYB adjustable shocks on all 4 corners with edelbrock lowering springs. New gas tank, and fuel pump. The car will come with the rear flag holders and flags that were fabricated from the orginal Indy Pace car Overhead lights were NOS and will come with car as well with magnetic mounts. Car is equipped with headlight flashers (wig-wag) and tail light flashers as well. Switches for these are installed as the way they were on the original Indy Pace car. I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of things out. This car has been my baby since owning it. Just time for a change and to let someone else show her the love she needs. Needs absolutely nothing, and is ready to show and enjoy. Again, this is a replica, and not an orginal track car. I configured it the way it is by what I think Indy should have done to it back in 82. Turns heads every it goes! Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
