Vehicle description
Replica/Kit Makes .
The following information on this car is from my own research and observations.
I believe this is a 1982 production. Please ask with any questions on this. Thank you
PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
BLAKELY AUTO WORKS created the Blakely Bantam, Bearcat, Barnardi, Hawk and Ceres and the Baron, that was never put into production but 5/ 6 prototypes were created. Emmons Coachworks developed the Baron prototypes for Blakely. I believe this car is a 1982 (?) Blakely Baron / Emmons E-Class.
This was never put into production. I believe this is proto-type #6 and was owned by Dick Blakely at one point. There is reference to 5 prototypes and a 6th car produced from the 5th prototype, #6, owned by Dick Blakely that was located in Arizona which is where I found this one.
Again PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH.
This car is significant as it being a prototype from a small, boutique, car company. I know of two others at most there are four others.
To me it has a Neo-Classic design and it is "roomy" compared to the smaller, earlier Blakely creations.
This car NEEDS EXTENSIVE RESTORATION! AGAIN EXTENSIVE RESTORATION.
It will need frame work as I can "FEEL" rusted tubes. The frame, I believe, has a GM, possible Monte Carlo basis and modified. I was thinking a C4 Corvette frame, modified would make a good donor. This car presently has a 6 cylinder ( I believe Ford) with an automatic both of which are untried and of no value to this project. All information point to a Chevy V8 drivetrain.
All the parts I have are shown in the photos. I have NO OTHER PART PARTS!
I have an Arizona "ASSIGNED VIN AND TITLE" unfortunately it is affixed to the dash and, IMHO, should have a new firewall or door jamb vin done after restoration.
I have spent a lifetime saving rare and unique cars and "you buy this car to SAVE IT and the history it represents and to have a "Green Lawn" car that no one else has. Even this car has differences from the #5 car.
The white E CLASS is the only one I know of that is finished and is shown as what this COULD BE AND IS NOT THE CAR FOR SALE
THERE IS NO RESERVE. YOU BID YOU BUY.
PAYMENT IS CASH IN PERSON OR BANK WIRE TRANSFER.
The car is located in Kingman Arizona 86409. Feel free to ask any questions. Have a Great car day!
