This is a 1981 Delorean that has been professionally converted to a replica of the "Time Machine" as seen in the blockbuster film, BACK TO THE FUTURE!
Bob"s Prop Shop has built over 40 of these replicas including the one on display at Universal Studios Florida . Bob"s cars can be found in theme parks, museums and private collections around the world.
These cars are built to display, with an AC/DC converter that will allow you to plug it in for permanent display and a completely separate battery and fuse system, apart from the car"s electronics, leaving the Delorean itself completely stock and giving you the ability to take your Time Machine out to a show and run all the lights without worrying about killing the car battery.
Other than the cosmetic alterations, the Delorean itself is completely stock with the original PRV-V6 engine and 5-Speed Manual Transmission. The car runs and drives and is overall mechanically sound, however as a vintage of car of 40 years it is sold as-is, where is, without warranty. The electronics feature all the things you saw the car do in the movie (except going through time - lol)
You can program the TIME CIRCUITS and they make the same sounds as they did in the film! The PLUTONIUM GAUGES needles move and the "EMPTY" light and alarm will go off after a "time travel event" . The FLUX CAPACITOR buzzes with flashing lights and you can actually open the MR FUSION and toss in an banana peel!
The car is currently located in Dallas, Texas but can also be brought to our second facility in Las Vegas. We ship world wide!
