Vehicle description

1981 DeLorean DMC-12 Coupe (VIN: SCEDT26T5BD003077 ) Thank you for looking at my 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. The car is in great working order with an Automatic transmission and Stage II performance upgrade by DMC. This one isn’t just a masterpiece- you can drive it! This car has been featured in numerous music videos and driven by country music superstar Blake Shelton on the hit television show The Voice. Its Stage II engine was purchased from WILL.I.AM at West Coast Customs as they transformed the musician’s DeLorean into a $700,000 futuristic version of the car. The car also comes with an after-market exhaust system from DPI. This vehicle has a clean CarFax & Auto Check report showing NO ACCIDENTS and has never been owned or registered outside of California. The car was previously owned by non-smokers. Exceptionally nice body and interior with desirable gas flap hood. Interior and exterior are clean and well maintained. All service professionally performed, the Automatic transmission shifts smoothly and it drives very well. The battery is new and in excellent condition. The AC is cold and it doesn’t need much to be a show winner. There"s only estimated to be around 4,500 Deloreans remaining (less than half are automatics so this is even rarer). With multiple movies coming out featuring the car and/or John DeLorean himself the value has been skyrocketing over the last 5 years is only going to go even higher. As the car becomes rarer and sought after it"s going to become very hard to find one in great shape for less than $50k pretty soon. Have as much fun with it as I have while it rises in value. Thanks for looking! Classic Car Overview: Possibly the most famous production cars of its era & a true 80s Icon thanks to its use as a time machine in the Back to the Future movies. Built by John DeLorean, the self-named DeLorean Motor Car was the only DeLorean model ever built in its short 2-year run. DeLorean was a designer of many well-known historic cars including Pontiacs GTO. The concept started in 1976 and was partially funded by Hollywood Celebrities such as Johnny Carson. Many changes were made during its 5-year developing stages but the two most distinctive traits remained the same. That was the gullwing doors and the Stainless Steel Body. The production halted in 1982 after the company filed bankruptcy following John DeLorean’s arrest for drug trafficking. While the unused parts were sold off, it is said that the production molds were dumped into the ocean so the car could never be duplicated. Only 9200 were produced of which 4500 still exist. My car is a 1981 model with Automatic transmission and Stage II Performance Upgrade completed by DMC California.
