Vehicle description
1981 Chevrolet Corvette that was owned by my late father. He bought the car in 1992 and drove it on and off. Then he decided after a small accident which you can see in the pictures to update the interior and then get the front fixed. After he had removed all of the interior as you can see from the pictures he got sick. During this time the car sat for quite some time and with these types of cars that is not good for them.
The most major repair is the Rusted frame section just in front of the rear passenger wheel, I have looked this over and believe it can repaired without removing the Frame you will need to confirm that for yourself. 2nd major thing is the body work on the front right side. Final major repair is the interior replacement. The Power steering/power brakes are not hooked up the radiator has a leak. The brake line going to the back brakes had hole in it. I have capped the back brake line off at the proportion valve and have good pedal on the front brakes. Car was originally Blue and you can see in a few spots where the paint is chipped off the underlying blue color.
The engine starts every time and runs but at high idle, I am sure the carb just needs a rebuild. It may also need valve seals since in does smokes some at startup. The 4 Speed transmission seems to shift fine but I have only driven it at slow speeds. The tires are junk.
There is definitely quite a bit of work to get this car back to its glory but it is a rare 4 Speed car. Please ask me any questions and I will tell you what I know. Title in hand
