The engine starts right up and runs smoothly. 1981 was the first year that Chevrolet’s “Computer Command Control” became standard. The system automatically adjusts ignition timing and air fuel mixture, making this car drivable in any altitude without adjustment. The vacuum powered pop-up headlights function as they should. T-tops are finished with a reflective glass that compliments the black exterior nicely, and gives a great view of the sky without letting any heat into the cabin. Custom red pin-striping adorns the exterior of the car and highlights the famous curves and styling of the C3 Corvette. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, and power locks all make this car feel and drive like a modern sports car. The car has developed a slight fluid leak in the right rear brake caliper since it was last driven, but this is easily and cheaply remedied.
