Vehicle description

Meet Bruce! Bruce was purchased from a dealership in Asbury Park New Jersey about 3 yrs ago. We immediately packed up and took a month and a half road trip from New Jersey down to Texas living in Bruce and enjoying the van life. Upon arrival Bruce was put into storage and has been sitting until recently. I put a new battery in, changed the fluids and took him around the block but he has not been driven further then that since being put in storage. He runs fine but does have a little trouble starting at first. I believe this to be due to the starter but I"m not an expert so I couldn"t really say. He will start within 3 tries every time and then no problems once started.
He is pretty much all original except for your typical replacement parts i.e. filters, tires, etc. A new radio has been installed with a CD changer but it doesn"t work. I"m not sure if any of the camping hookups, fridge, stove, or sink work as we never used them. Didn"t want to carry a lot of water in his tank with his little engine, he"s heavy enough already. There is wear on the seats and some spots where paint is fading (on driver side as per photo), bubbling around windshield, and some rust in the corners. The worst rust spot is driver side back corner as can be seen in the photo. He needs a new exhaust as well.
A new oil cooler has been installed as well as some new gaskets here and there. I believe the valve cover gaskets need to be replaced as there is a small oil leak right now.
I have a new gasket kit, oil filters, and seals for the camper top and engine area that will come with Bruce. The cloth popup needs to be replaced or sewn closed, we never worried about it since we slept in the bottom part. Don"t have the polls for the tables and the back hatch lift supports don"t work.
He is aircooled and though many people don"t like this, he worked great during our road trip, even in the south.
I never transferred the title from New Jersey over to my name, but be happy to do whatever is required to transfer it to new owner.
Sold as it, happy to allow you to inspect it prior to end of auction, but all sales are final once auction ends.
