Vehicle description
This Triumph TR8 is a true survivor with 80% of the original paint. The engine is still breathing through the original carbs and to the best of my knowledge it has never been out of the car. The engine starts and idles great once it has warmed up and does not smoke or burn oil oil. Yes it does drip oil it is an English car plus the fact it is a 1980 engine with the original gaskets. The car originally came with A/C but a previous owner removed the compressor. I still have original compressor and brackets and it will come with the car. The car does have a small amount of in floor boards, lower quarters and trunk but nothing that isn"t easily repaired. The top will need to be replaced, it is cracked, torn and shrunk but I have used it in a pinch. I bought it on a whim and drove it 50 miles daily during the summer back and fourth to work without any issues except for replacing original starter with a high torque unit. The shifter bushings need to be replaced and I have a new Teflon set that will be included. I have the original window sticker that came with car along with a folder of documentation of all previous owners and the majority of maintenance performed on the car. This would be a great car to restore or drive it like it is and enjoy. Please feel free to ask any questions. On Jul-01-18 at 06:33:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a picture with the top up. This was when I first got the car, the rims are now charcoal. In addition previous 2 owners thought mileage was correct but title states mileage exceeds mechanical ability because the county court clerk thought differently.
