“1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet European model imported from Germany to the US in early 1986. I bought the car in 2005 with 54k indicated miles, and it now shows 70,856 miles. 3.2L flat-six was completely rebuilt in 2006, with ALL gaskets were replaced and sealed. The car is paired with a 915 5-speed manual transaxle. The 911 has been recently repainted in the factory Guards Red. 12K job with documentation. Exterior was sanded down to skeleton. Never been in a accident. The interior has been completely restored and upgraded to leather, but still maintaining original specifications. Brand new carpets covering Dynamat sound dumping flooring. Restored Fuchs wheels with less than 2K Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. A spare rear deck lid with spoiler is included, and all detailed service records, a clear Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. In addition to the paintwork, all new exterior body moldings, roof and door moldings, window, and exterior lens seals were installed, the lenses were polished, and new emblem. The car is equipped with a brand new front lip spoiler and retains its Euro side markers. A couple of years ago new struts were installed, flush all the brake fluid, and a four-wheel alignment. The original 16" Fusch Wheels were sanded down and newly-painted to original colors. New 205/55 front and 245/50 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. I am including the rear deck lid with whale tale spoiler is pictured in the gallery, and the car is being sold with the standard deck lid installed. Note that US-spec rear bumperettes have been installed along with a periscope-style third brake light.Other recent additions include a new alarm system, heated front seats, new gauge lighting, a rebuilt clock by Speedometer Plus. Alpine stereo (CDE-164BT) bluetooth iPhone Siri activated system. Custom installation of mic (see picture). 100 watts per 4 channel amplifier (PDX-F4) and 240 watts Alpine front component speakers and 6x9 rear speakers. The speedometer has been converted to mph, and the odometer indicates 70,856 miles. The 3.2L flat-six is paired with a 915 transaxle was removed and rebuilt in 2006 by Competition Engineering of Lake Isabella at a cost of nearly $9k, including a new clutch system. Modern Auto Technology in Pasadena installed the engine and also redid some of the factory wiring. Additional servicing within the last few years included new engine belts, spark plugs and wires, transmission seals, a new steering shaft support ring, air filter, Interstate battery with warranty, upgraded motor mount, fuel filter, cylinder head temperature sensor, a lighter engine compartment insulation mat, and custom made carpet floors. This car reportedly passed a California emissions test in February 2018.I have all the documentation at hand and ready upon request.
