Vehicle description
This is an estate car that hasn"t been on the road since 2007. 1980 MGB with overdrive priced to sell. Body is solid with no rust, paint is decent but there are a few paint cracks that need touched up. Portion of driver"s side floor has been covered with some sheet metal, but if you look at the photos from under the car, there"s no rust through as well as anywhere else under the car. The rest of the outer body is really nice. Trunk is super clean, however no spare wheel. I"ll see if I can source one, but can"t guarantee. The spare wheel tie down is in the trunk. Original jack and knock off wrench is present. Car starts easily, runs and overdrive works fine. Holds good oil pressure and runs cool. There"s a little grind downshifting to 3rd but do it carefully and it"s fine. Interior is excellent having perfect seats and a really nice dashboard. All electrics working fine as well as the interior courtesy light above the radio. All gauges functional and brand new battery. Carpets are good but I made a new driver"s side to match. Top fits well and has clear zip out window with no tears. Notice the engine is unmolested and still has it"s functional air pump as fitted new. Everything works. Car will need a good tune up and timing checked. The tires have great tread but are older and should be replaced. Last inspection was 2007 and was not road worthy since then. I have only driven it in the neighborhood as there"s no insurance or license on the car so it should be trailered. Car is available for inspection by appointment and there"s a clear PA title. If you are looking for a MGB driver with overdrive, or for an easy restoration, this is it. I can assist with shipping if all arrangements are made well in advance. I try to describe all my items the best I can so there are no surprises. There"s a $500.00 non-refundable deposit required upon auction end. I can be reached at with questions. Reserve is well below MGB"s in this condition with overdrive, so bid away. I"m sure you won"t be disappointed.
