Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1980 Ford Model A is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great. Seller"s Notes p Exterior Interior Engine This is a 1980 Shay Model A Ford. Perfect parade vehicle. It runs and drives great. I get numerous thumbs up every time I take it out. For the 50th Anniversary of the Model A, Ford Motor Company released the patents to Henry Shay with permission to reproduce the 1928/9 Ford Model A Roadster. They were sold in Ford dealerships in a limited production of about 4,000. Shay's Model A features a custom fiberglass body and a custom steel frame with a 1980 Pinto drive train. It has a stock 2.3 liter 4 Cylinder 1980 Pinto Engine. It also has a 1980 Pinto braking system featuring front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. I purchased this a few years ago as a promotional vehicle for our business and need to clear up some shop space. Most people cannot tell it is not a 1930. Get the best of both worlds with a modern, easy to maintain drivetrain that is safe at highway speeds. Previous owner gave me a notebook full of Shay info along with the original Sales Invoice from the Ford Dealership. * It’s well maintained, but not restored, with less than 2,000 original miles * Very uncommon (but original) automatic transmission. * Dual Side Mounts (spare tires/wheel on each front fender). * Trunk Rack and Trunk * Custom Saddle Interior (I've never liked a black interior in a convertible - too hot when the sun hits it). * Dual A-ooga Horns * Stainless Radiator Stone Guard * New front brake calipers and new rear wheel cylinders last year. * Chrome Bell Steering Wheel (I still have the original). * Top is in fair but not perfect condition. I have an additional top and frame as well. Also have the side window curtains. At 40 years old now, it also qualifies for a permanent Antique tag as well; and is also titled as a Model A Price is $12,500 firm. It is a fair price for the vehicle, and if you’re looking for one you know the market is not flooded. Serious inquiries, I am a very busy person. Created on the Motors app
