1980 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta. Matching number car. Pretty much an original car and in very solid shape. 83000 original miles. 305 V8 4 barrel carb. Turbo 350 auto transmission. Power disc brakes, Air, Am/FM stereo radio, pulse wipers, power steering, tilt, cruise, rear defrost. White with red interior. Sold new in Mason City Iowa. Original dealer logo plate on bumper. Garage most, if not all of its life. Red cloth, correct and original Berlinetta interior in excellent condition. There is some staining on the passenger seat lap, but I am sure it can be cleaned up. Window crank handles not original but I have a new repro pair to go with car. Arm rests are the repair kit style. New outside window to door edge weatherstrips. The engine was tired, so it was removed by me and rebuilt completely by a machine shop. Bored .030 over. Runs great. Has 300 miles since overhaul, using a zinc additive and Crane Cams brand break in oil as well. The following are new- exhaust manifolds, 4 barrel carb, starter, fuel pump, aluminum radiator, power steering pump and hoses, thermostat housing, radiator hoses, belts and many other parts. All EGR items were removed but have been saved. Will go with car. Transmission has new pan gasket and fluid and some new seals, including the dipstick tube seal. (Slight seepage from selector shifter shaft). No oil leaks from fresh engine. The rear axle will need service soon. Sounds like a axle bearing is dry. Car runs , shifts, and handles great. A few new steering parts were on the car when I got it. No wandering and no vibrations. Tires have great tread. Brakes are great. Speedometer shows 5 mph slower then actual speed at 55 mph. 55 on radar gun equals 50 on speedo. Has pulse wipers but they do not shut off and park with the switch. Only if you cycle the key off and on, so I am sure the park switch is bad. (pretty typical gm issue with these pulse wipers). Cruise works. Air conditioning is not hooked up but is complete and will be given to new owner. (I was still contemplating on whether to go with an alum housing compressor which is why the a/c system isn"t finished. It was upgraded to 134 before I took the engine out) Doors shut nice, no sagging. Complete original space saver spare set up. Incorrect lower front bumper grill. Top grill is original. Car has most of its original paint, less a few areas. Worst area is the passenger door. Who ever repainted the door did lousy prep work and the entire door has cracks through out the paint. Only real rust is the passenger inner fender behind the tire. Some dings and small dent here and there, but for being 40 years old, is really a solid car. Floors, doors, hood, trunk lid etc. . and frame rails very solid and excellent, as well as the rest of the body. This car will need some of the fore mentioned areas taken care of, and some weekend tinkering, but you can drive it and work on it. Really a nice old car with most of the original trim and bezels, tail light housings still in nice shape. Any questions, please ask. Dealers also are welcome to purchase.
