1980 Cadillac Sedan deVille with 5.7L V8 Diesel Engine
These diesels Cadillacs are becoming super rare.
127,949 original miles, with some repair receipts showing mileage history.
I purchased it a couple years ago and had the following work done:
-Completely Rebuilt Cylinder Heads, w/ ARP Head Studs & New Gaskets
-New Aux Temp Gauge
-New Batteries (2)
-New Tie Rod Ends
-New Trunk Seal The automatic transmission was rebuilt in 1997 with 75k miles on the odometer.
Generally, it"s obvious that this was a well-cared for vehicle for most of its life.
Interior is in excellent condition. Tires are good.
Sheet metal is in excellent shape with only a few minor flaws. Fiberglass body panels need to be replaced. Paint is faded. Very minor surface rust, but no cancerous rust anywhere.
There"s one part of the rag top where it has pulled away from the trim, otherwise the rag top is in great shape. Mostly all this car needs is the fiberglass kit and a paint job. That"s all that remained of my plans for it, but then I moved to a mountainous area that would be too rough on this old diesel.
It has a lot of potential to be quite the head-turner.
