IMPORTANT NOTE. . This is a 1987 AND not a 1980 as listed. The eBay listing system won"t recognize the european VIN.
I"ve never seen another of these for sale in the USA. Only 500 were made in 1987 for homologation purposes and this is the last RWD Alfa produced until the recent models, which appear to be returning Alfa to it"s traditional sports car glory. This rare and stunning Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione has focused character and balanced handling. A very desirable and iconic Alfa that"s highly respected among the hardcore fans of the firm even today.
Alfa only produced 500 of these back in the day for homologation purposes and did numerous changes under the skin like changing the bore of the engine from 80mm to 79.6mm, changing the total capacity of the engine to 1762cc in order to avoid the 3-litre class in the Tourism championships of the era when multiplied by 1.7 (the factor for turbocharged cars).
This car on offer was bought in Italy and brought over a few years ago, when it was legal to import without restriction under the 25 year rule. It had a big service in Italy before the transport and has received regular maintenance since. The interior was completely redone in this super cool two tone when the original sports-cloth interior began to look shabby. The work was done by the same guy that does my Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The car is a blast to drive and draws a crowd wherever I go.
