This is a 1981 911SC Targa with 21k original miles, Garage-find! The car was sold new in Princeton, New Jersey on August of 1981. It stayed in New Jersey its entire life before I bought it. It was last registered in 1996. The car is garage-fresh- meaning the mechanicals need to be fully gone through before it can go on the road. I would recommend dropping the engine to thoroughly clean it and rebuild what is necessary. I did attempt to get it to run briefly but the fuel distributor is dirty and needs rebuilding (it did run). The car has tremendous potential and needs to go to someone who can take the time to go through all the mechanical work plus detailing the cosmetics. The car is completely original paint except the driver"s door. The interior is near brand new. The steering wheel is like new with hardly any signs of wear. The same goes for the seats-the cushions are still very firm and hardly any wear on the leather. The car is complete with all books and records since new. The stamps in the service book are present.
