Thinning down my British car collection. This is a never rusted 1979 spitfire that has been gone through. I rebuilt a 1980 24K mile 1500 motor I had in the garage to Euro specs and put it in this car: Flat top pistons, new bearings, dual valve springs, oil and water pump, ARP, twin SUs. Also added alum flywheel and radiator, oil cooler, Flame Thrower Distributer, front gas shocks, rear corvette air shocks w/ individual shraders to offset my 220 pounds of driver weight. New springs front and rear lowers car 1/2". Also put Land Rover wheel studs and lugs (much beefier than standard). Vented and slotted front discs with stainless brake lines. Adjustable thermostat fan switch. Sound deadening added with new carpet. Transmission rebuilt by previous owner and has less than 4K miles on it. 58,941 miles showing on this very solid car. Small tear on driver seat and one in top which are shown in photos. I have all receipts as well as those of previous owner. Paint is fair with some chips and scratches. Original steel wheels come with car as well as some other extras. If the original Spitfires" acceleration could be said to be acceptable, this one would be called peppy.
