Vehicle description

Vehicle Details I'm selling my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. This is a nice straight, original sheet metal "Survivor" car with only 57,000 miles! It is equipped as follows: 1. 6.6 Liter (403 Cubic Inch) engine with 4bbl carburetor 2. Power steering and power brakes 3. Automatic transmission (Turbo-Hydramatic 350) 4. Radio delete 5. Tilt steering wheel 6. Power windows 7. Snowflake alloy wheels 8. Original "Space Saver" inflatable spare tire in trunkCar does not have air conditioning (ordered that way), but does have all the factory vents and cut-outs, so would be easy to add modern trouble-free A/C unit like Vintage Air at reasonable cost if desired. This is a nice straight car that was painted once and had new graphics applied 18 to 19 years ago. It has NOT been winter driven. Unlike most of these GM F body cars, the doors open and close easily and do NOT sag. Underneath, floor pans, trunk pan, etc. are all clean and solid, NOT rusted out. Original interior is excellent! Seats, carpet, dash, etc. are all very nice, not ripped, torn, or cracked. Car has been adult owned, garaged, and taken care of. I am 3rd owner. Always just used as a spare special occasion car, not as everyday transport. This Trans Am is very strong running, and rides well. Not a bunch of squeaks or rattles when driving unlike many you see. I recently drove it on a 150 mile trip with no issues and got decent gas mileage on regular unleaded gas. It turns a lot of heads and brings back the nostalgia of "Smokey and the Bandit"! These all stock, unmodified, low mileage cars have become increasingly hard to find! Don't miss it!About me: I've been collecting and fooling with old cars for over 45 years. I favor stock "Survivor" cars from the late 1950's to early 1990's. I sometimes sell one to make room for a new acquisition. I'm located about 30 minutes north of Interstate 90 (New York Thruway), about midway between Albany and Utica, NY.NOW FOR THE RULES:1. Your bid is a contract! If you bid, you are expected to pay! Please have all questions answered to your satisfaction, have your money in place, and all decision makers consulted BEFORE you bid!2. Non-Refundable deposit of $500 is due immediately. Balance is due with 7 days. Bank wire transfer is safest and preferred way to handle this. Car and title will NOT leave here until paid in full with cleared funds.3. You are responsible for shipping from my premises. I will help you any reasonable way I can, but it is your responsibility to make arrangements and pay for shipping.4. Car can remain here for a reasonable amount of time, but balance must still be paid within 7 days. Also, you should immediately insure car with a company specializing in collector cars, as I cannot be responsible for Acts of God or circumstances beyond my control once you buy the car.5. Car is sold strictly AS/IS, NO WARRANTY. Please ask and get satisfactory answers to any questions BEFORE you buy!6. International buyers are welcome, but must pay with US funds and also must pay balance within 7 days.6. Please remember this is a 42 year old used car, NOT a new car. Although it is a clean example, any used car this age will have certain flaws and wear from normal use such as minor nicks and scratches and normal wear.I'm sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people make it hard for the 95% who are good.
