Up for sale is my wife"s McBurnie Daytona replica. If you"re looking for one of these cars, then you"re going to want a McBurnie. not only did he design and build the cars used in the Miami Vice series, the master Ferrari forgers cars are now collectable in their own right. .This car sat in heated storage for about 15 years prior to my purchase. That explains why the exterior of the car is in such great condition. .there may be a couple of rock chips, but as you can see from the pics, the Ferrari rosa red paint is in excellent/new condition. .the interior is in equally good condition, . .no tears. .good carpets. . and a Ferrari style dash. What makes this Mcburnie a little more special and rare is the manual 4spd transmission. .almost all of the conversions come with the automatic. .the 4spd is old school, giving the car that correct 60"s muscle car feel. .Its lightning fast. .Since I"ve owned the car, I replaced the 4 new looking but dry rotted tires. The new ones have about 100 miles on them. Just spent $1300 labor on having the valves adjusted, cooling system flushed and upgraded new racing distributor and racing wires and a new $500 carb installed. The old parts come with the car. The mechanic said the 350 engine hasn"t even been broken in, so I"m guessing the odometer and engine miles are the same just 8700 miles. the usual signs of use aren"t there. .rust free bottom of car and the exhaust tips still look new the canvas top also looks new. .not sure if its ever seen the elements. The car has the electric poppers for ease opening the doors, and ensuring the lines of the car are correct and more sleek looking. If you"re looking for one of these cars in excellent condition, this is a great example. Unfortunetly, the reason I"m selling it, is the same reason I bought this one in the first place. .the 4 sp transmission. .I let my personal preference of a manual transmission override my 60 year old wife"s wants. .the car was her dream car, but driving the manly manual transmission has made the car no fun for her to drive. I should have gotten the auto in retrospect. .at any rate, it"s a great car and I have alot of parts purchased to upgrade the cosmetics of the engine and exterior look of the car. I have 4 brand new, still in the box Dayton chrome wire wheels, chrome valve covers,chrome timing chain cover and chrome water pump as well as a cool Ferrari air cleaner. THESE DO NOT COME WITH THE CAR. . I WILL SELL THOSE FOR AN ADDIDTIONAL $750.00. . THE WHEELS WERE 2K SO THE PARTS ARE A BARGAIN AS YOU WONT HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING IF THEY"RE PUT IN CAR. some of the parts in the pics (new dist, wires, and eidelbrach carb were just installed). The windshield has a crack down by the passenger side. . In some of the pics, the hood isn"t closed all the way. .the hood closes and the door gaps are perfect. .Please don"t bid on the car if you don"t have the money or wife"s permission.
