Vehicle description
1979 Ford F-150 Custom 4x4 Shortbed Truck w/ 351. No rust! No Reserve! Passes CA Smog! Runs, looks, and drives great!
Good luck finding a cooler truck than this. Everything about this truck is awesome! Total vintage 80"s style. Helping a friend clear out a small collection and this is the first. Built at the San Jose plant, this baby was crushing the streets of Northern California during the 80"s and 90"s. Lift on 35x12.50"s gives it a great stance. Perfect look with a nice patina matching its mostly original paint. NO rust at all since it has been in Northern California its whole life. Original 351 was rebuilt and starts right up, and runs and drives great. You will not be disappointed! Lots of recent work getting ready to sell and passed CA smog too! Comes with a clean CA title.
Exterior- Original paint still shines up nicely and has a great patina coming through. There are some dents, scratches, and dings as to be expected for a truck that was used as it was intended too. NO Rust at all on this truck. There is just surface rust that shows character. Roll bar / KC lights are fully functioning. Driver door shows a slightly different tint from previous body work. Also a previous body work spot on the rear drivers side panel as seen in the pictures. Comes with an og Skyjack in the bed.
Interior- Fresh interior restore featuring New door panels, New rubber dash pad, New carpet kit, GT Grant steering wheel, New Bluetooth / CD stereo, Gun rack, Awesome American Flag headliner, Vintage Keep on Truckin floor mats, vintage 4x4 beer coozie, etc. The interior is really nice! Dash and gauges are clean and all functioning. The seat is original and shows some wear but not bad at all considering.
Mechanical- Good mechanical condition with lots or recent work. This truck sat from 2002-2020. The owner had the original 351 engine rebuilt in 2002 from a shop for $3,500. The next week while he was driving, it died and his wife got really upset and so he parked it and so it sat for many years. After rebuilding the carb, changing all the fuel lines, dropping the tank, adding new fuel, the engine fires right up. It now runs and drives perfect. Passed CA smog with no issues. Tires are in good condition. Brakes great. Automatic transmission is smooth in all gears.
Even comes with a vintage matching ice chest.
Truck is being sold AS-IS so you are encouraged to view and drive it before auction ends. You are also more than welcome to have a 3rd party look at it.
