Vehicle description
1979 Ford F-100 - LS 6.0 - 4L60 - PS, PB, PW, PDL, A/C (cold) tilt wheel, 4 wheel disc brakes, p-seat, digital gauges, caddy door handles, caddy tail lights, headers with flow masters, 20"" wheels and tires, spray in bed liner. The truck is left outside. I have on room or time to fix it. Will make an awesome truck for somebody. Nice driver. NO DISAPPOINTMENT HERE!
The not so good stuff. Dent in left rear quarter. I have panel to replace it. BB chip in windshield. power seat is jammed. A/C needs a little Freon every couple of years. body work has a couple of cracks on tail gate. hood has a couple of small dents from shutting (hood is aftermarket)
This truck I built from the ground up. It started out as a 6 cly. three on the tree, no a/c, non power brakes and steering. It always was a short bed fleet side.
I first had the truck media blasted. Then fixed the floors, cab corners, r/s lower door, patch panels on quarters and some repairs on the bed floor. I put 2012 Silverado rear wheel wells for the 20 tires. I put a 2007 Chevy classic (old body style) Silverado regular cab short bed chassis on it. Shorten it 2"" so it would match the wheel base of the ford. I wanted the tires in the center of wheel wells where they belong. The chassis has around 2000 miles when installed. I bought a theft and recovery from a salvage yard. The motor is a 2011 LS 6.0 out of a 2500 Chevy pick-up with 8000 miles that I bought from E-Bay. The trans is a 2007 4L60 that was totally rebuilt. The rear end is from the Chevy chassis 3:73 posi. The 4 wheel disc brake where also from the 2007 Chevy chassis. I welded the tail gate closed and installed 1994 caddy tail lights. Put the exhaust out the quarters behind the rear tires. Welded the gas tank door opening closed and installed a 20 gal. fuel cell in the bed. Welded in 2007 Caddy Escalade door handles in the doors. The truck has all new glass and chrome. Installed hot rod power windows. The truck has Dakota Digital gauges. I did-it tilt wheel. Took a 2011 Chevy truck seats and had them covered. Driver side is power. It has Vintage heat and A/C. All wiring replaced with E-Z wire. I"m sure leaving out stuff Phil nine one 7-8 two five-six zero 5 four
