I have for sale my 1979 F100. The truck sits on a 2002 Crown Vic frame with drivetrain which is the 4.6L V8. It has a 1976 F100 front end and has a nice combination of the classic F100 look with more modern amenities, the biggest of which is fuel injection. This was originally a long bed truck that was cut down to short bed specs. Not the best job ever, but gives it more character and has the shop truck look in my opinion. Has steel roll pan.All lights and gauges work with the exception of the odometer. The instrument cluster is from the Crown Vic and stopped working after the swap. Current mileage is around 145k, but shows 142k. Currently has a check engine light on due to the exhaust setup and lack of O2 sensors. It has side exhaust exits with magnaflow cats and flowmaster mufflers. This combination sounds great, but not obnoxiously loud.It also has LED headlights with auto detection and dome light which is nice. New battery and air filter.The wheels are staggered 20 inch XXRs. 20x9 out front with 20x10.5 out back. Tires are 245/45 and 275/40, respectively.The racing seats are actually pretty comfortable. It has a nice sound system comprised of Pioneer head unit with aux port, Alpine amp, and two 10" Pioneer subs. I planned to take this all out and put a bench seat in, but this combo has grown on me.Truck drives good and has working heat. A/C on the crown vic worked at the time of the swap and would need a recharge and hoses run to be operational again.It does have rust and creaks a little, but again, adds character and would be expected on a truck this old that has been driven.This is a great truck for someone to continue to take to the next level. With the old truck luck and newer drivetrain, you have a great base to start with. It could use a tune up in my opinion, but runs well.Could easily be used as a daily driver as is.This is a no reserve auction.
