1979 Ford E150 Chateau. Short wheelbase. No rust. No a/c. 351 runs great. Has headers. All original.
Rides, brakes, and shifts perfectly. Steering doesn’t wander all over. Reclining captains chairs need recovering, armrests are great. Factory interior ceiling and black carpet and are in excellent condition. Original front door panels. Walls are paneled. All lights and gauges work. Rear bumper is a little wavy.
It was parked with no gas or water for past 7 yrs. Tank dropped and cleaned, carb rebuilt, fuel filter and fuel pump, heater core and blower replaced, some hoses, shocks, battery, cables, belt, motor and radiator flushed, master cylinder, plugs, windshield, air filter, breather filter, pcv, oil change, and some other little things. I replaced the tires, but they are not new.
The steering column was replaced and works great, but I have an original 79 I will include.
Side door window is cracked, I will include a replacment.
I have only driven it 20 miles from the Speed Shop to my house.
Drivers window skips going up, but im sure i have whatever part is needed.
Havent seen any leaks. Engine is super clean.
The previous owner (genius that he was) used the van as an advertising sign for the past 7 years, and used screws to hold the sign up, so there are some screw holes on both sides of the body.
Theres also a dent on the bottom drivers side half way back.
Very RARE to find a 70"s short wheelbase Ford Chateau van not rusted, all original interior, and with the 3 rows of exterior chrome trim. Extra door rubber gaskets and new window glides included too.
Ill even throw in an orginial (impossible style to find) Vintage fiberglass visor.
The van runs great, but as with most 41 yr old vehicles, theres no guarantees. I am also including an original pair of Ford swivel seat bases.
