Vehicle description
1979 Lil" Red Express, 3 owner survivor Florida truck, 61,000 original miles. Original fa ctory special High Performance 360 C.I. 4-barrel small block engine code ( EH1). Original A-727 with shift kit, 2500 stall converter and 3.55:1 posi rear end. The motor has a mild cam 284/484, J heads with 2.08 valves, hooker headers, Edelbrock 750, Weiand stealth intake, upgraded distributor, super stock Accell coil and a new aluminum radiator.
I dyno tuned the truck two weeks ago; rear wheel 260hp@5350rpm and 312ft-lbs@3000rpm. Go to you tube type in "1 979 dodge lil red express Dyno" the first one is mine, Dane Schlick Channel). The paint has been freshened up so I could put on new door badges. The interior is good, I had the bucket seats refoamed and reskinned. The 8 track still works, along with all the gauges. I added an oil pressure guage (40psi at idle and 60psi while running)
The truck is super honest. The underside looks pristine, no rust at all. I left enough for the next guy to do and add some value to the truck.
I had this listed a few weeks ago and thought I had it sold. The guy stopped answering calls and now it is relisted. when I thought it was sold I drove 4 hours away and got the original bed wood and hold down strips. I took the time to reinstall all of that so now it is done. I have increased the buy it now price $500 for that reason. I have it listed on CL and reserve the right to end the auction if I get the Buy it Now price from there.
