Vehicle description
Low reserve!
This is a 1979 Dodge Aspen Coupe. It has the two-tone paint and the louvered windows.
It features a Super Six engine (225 Slant Six with a 2-barrel carb instead of the standard 1 barrel carb that came with most of them.)
The car runs and drives fine. I drove it here before I replaced the brakes! To keep you from wrecking on the way home, I have installed new brake calipers and brake hoses and the car is mechanically sound all around. The air conditioner even works! (Used this summer!)
No radio. But you can get a single-DIN radio frame on for under $10. That"s what I did on my other Aspen.
The car needs a little body work. See the photos. There are a few dents and a little rust like most of these cars got on them.
I bought the car in NC but it had a VA title. It has been kept under cover in a pole barn since I had it.
The rear bumper has a dent in it. I have a replacement rear bumper that comes with the car if you want it.
The wheels are Cragar 5-spoke knock-offs. (I think. They don"t say Cragar on them anywhere) I think they look good on the car. The tires are not new, but are in fine condition to drive it home. I drive it around here with no issues.
If you want it shipped, and can make the arrangements, I will be happy to work with your shipper. An 18-wheeler or a car carrier truck and trailer can get in here at the farm if needed without too much trouble.
There is no hurry to pick it up, as there is plenty of space on my farm and it is welcome to sit here until you can get it, as long as it is paid for.
The only reason I am selling this is that I have another Aspen that I am going to restore instead. If you can do a little body work, you will really have a great car!
Clear NC title in my name. No monkey business!
