From my internet research i found it to be one of 1526 built as a shortbed with a 454 out of the 800,000 trucks built in 79 This one is fully loaded with options -
Sliding Rear window Air Conditioning Heavy Duty Chassis Locking Differential with 3.40 gears 7.4 Litre 454 cid 4bbl Engine Oil Cooler Standard Emission system Power Steering Power Front Disc Brakes Power Windows Power Door Locks Factory Tachometer HD Battery HD Front & Rear shocks Silverado Equipment Tinted Glass - All windows Intermittent wiper system Cruise Control Fleetside Pickup box TH400 Automatic Transmission Tilt Steering column Cargo Area Lamp Windshield Antenna Chrome bumpers Exterior Decor package Midnight Black 86 / Silver 17

This 1979 Chevy Silverado is a factory 454 1/2 ton Short bed. Optioned by Chevrolet as the Big10 model, these performance based trucks were quite rare compared to the regular production models offered. This truck retains the matching number 454 , matching number TH400 transmission and locking differential. The Big 10 was promoted as a heavy duty two wheel drive half ton for the 75-80 model years. This one is original paint and has a very stock engine compartment with correct exhaust manifolds, intake, carb and ignition. This is a project - The Fenders, Doors, Rockers , Bed and Cab all have rust. It will need a complete restoration.
Truck was parked in 1999 with 56004 miles. The Title shows actual miles as 50408 when last registered in 1995. It has been parked outside on a farm for the last 22 years. Currently it is not running and no brakes. It will need to be Towed.
