Vehicle description

1979 911SC Targa SlantNose Conversion VIN: 91A0130166 NO RESERVE
Ibought this 911SC in 2015. I"m selling because I am retired and don"t have the time for these anymore.
The carwas purchased on Ebay by a friend of mine who wanted to export it toEurope. When he went to pick up the car, he found that the front cliphad been replaced with a newer one that carried a different VINstamped into it. Apparently the car had suffered front end damage andneeded a new front clip from the bulkhead/firewall forward. My friendwas not able to export the car, so I decided to buy it for spares.
Thetitle is clean not salvage. It is signed by the previous owner with agood bill of sale.
It is areal good looking car and it runs great. I believe the mileage to becorrect at 75,000. I decided to just keep it intact. The reason Iwanted it was for it"s drive train. The 3.0 liter engine was to be aspare for my track car. The engine number 6300132 indicates it is aROW (rest-of-world) engine with better power and torque than theAmerican market counterpart.
I endedup just storing the car in my warehouse since purchasing it andtaking it out for the occasional drive.
Theslant nose conversion is steel, not the fiberglass version. Thepop-up headlights work as they should. The side vents provide rearbrake cooling. The fender flairs front and rear are steel. It ispretty rust free.
Thewheels are 15 inch Gotti"s. The tires are marginal. The brakes workfine, however, I have not checked them for pad thickness.
TheTarga top could use some work, but it does it"s job. It just has acouple of tiny rips, barely noticeable. There is a blemish in the front drivers fender that is hard to see in the pictures so look close.
Whencold, the engine starts right up but needs a couple of minutes towarm up to running temperature. Theclutch is good and the tranny shifts fine
Infairness to all, I will not end the auction early, I do not have abuy-it-now price, and there is absolutely no reserve . The highbidder will own this car! Please have all your ducks in a row beforebidding on this car. It is rare enough to find a Porsche for salewith no reserve.
