1978 PONTIAC TRANS AM

Up for bids is a barn find 1978 Pontiac Trans Am (Vin# 2W87 Z 8N176991). Rare option Hurst T-Tops and a pretty solid foundation for restoration. Sub frame, frame rails, and rear tail panel are in excellent condition. Trunk pan will need to be replaced as will the rear floor pan sections. Unfortunately as we are aware the t top cars all leaked. This particular car rusted in mysterious areas. The rocker panels are solid. The door jams are solid. Underside of drivers door is very good. Underside of passenger door is questionable. Lower Quarters will need repaired. The interior will need redone although the seats are in good shape with no rips. All the glass is good. The original 400 engine is gone, (have a 1968 Pontiac 400 block that will go with the car). The original turbo 350 automatic is in the car. Also in the engine compartment is what appears to be an Oldsmobile 350 or 403, (not hooked up). The rear axel is a disk brake rear end probably swapped out at one time. The original color of the car is solar gold with saddle interior. It"s had one repaint in dark red.
I have described this car to the best of my ability. It is a non running restoration but can also easily be made into a running hot rod/rat rod. The car will be sold in as is where is condition. Please be serious, have ready funds, and a transporter lined up if you are going to place a bid on this auction. There will be a non refundable paypal deposit of $500 due within 24 hours from the end of the auction with the balance paid within 7 days from the end of the auction. Buyer will be responsible for vehicle pick up and the car will not be released until funds have cleared.
