Vehicle description
I am selling my 1978 firebird. It has been converted into a 1976 Trans Am tribute/clone. The previous owner let me know this car received a complete frame-off restoration about 6/7 years ago. It a beautiful Sundance Yellow with a black interior. The interior is in great shape, except the drivers seat, it will need to be redone as there is a tear in the seat portion. Dash, door panels, headliner and rear tray are in great shape. The car comes equipped with power windows and power doors. In addition to conversion the following was added/updated:
355 motor from Performance Clinic in Dayton Ohio. Rated at 390 horsepower and 410 ft/torque - 4 bolt main - Cast Steel Crank 3.48" stroke. 5.7" rods - Dual plane satin aluminum edlebrock intake - 64 cc aluminum cylinder heads - Roller Comp Cam .495 intake .503 Exhaust, 220 intake/224 exhaust duration @ .050-110 degree lobe separation - Holley 600 with manual choke - Functional Shaker Hood air filter adapter - Mallory unilite distributor - Mallory promaster coil - Headman headers - Pypes performance street exhaust
Built TH400 Transmission w/2400 stall converter) - B&M shiftkit - B&M quicksilver shifter - Derale transmission cooler - Mallory Tach with rev limiter and shift light
Richmond Gear ring and pinion 3.23 ratio w/posi
Brakes and tires have less than 3,000 miles on them
It does have a few items that might need addressing: - There is a small transmission leak. It has been sitting for about 5 months (too hot to drive or work on in the Arizona heat) and I noticed a few spots under the car. I have not lifted it up to take a look, but, can see a little drip line on the transmission. - As you can see in the pictures, there are some stress cracks on the front bumper
The paint is probably an 8/10 and has been garaged since I bought it (and the previous owner garaged as well). This car is a looker, its fast and loud. I hate to sell it, but, have some kids starting school and a cool muscle car in the garage will have to wait a few more years. The milage listed above are Box A miles due to the engine replacement
$500 deposit will be due within 48 hours of the auctions end and the remaining amount is to be paid within 7 days of the end of the auction. It is currently in Phoenix, AZ and it must be picked up within 30 days. Shipping will be paid by the buyer.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
