Vehicle description
Reluctantly, selling my 1978 Coronation Blue MGB.
I"ve owned her for fifteen years, and a good friend owned it for ten years before that.
The car is in good condition for its age. Everything electrical works, there are no fluid leaks. To the best of my knowledge, the mileage is genuine. I have had here garaged since 2006, and I have performed all of the maintenance work myself.
I have provided a list of the major items I have replaced - over $6,000.00 was detailed in Quicken (! ). A new fuel tank, new exhaust, a beautiful fully restored Twin SU Carb, Moto-Lita leather rimmed steering wheel, Minilite alloy wheel rims amongst others. She has been lowered to a "pre-rubber bumber" height, and shod with ventilated discs and street-race brakes. She forms the sound basis for somebody"s restoration project. To be a reliable daily user, I would replace or rebuild the alternator, and the soft top would require taping or replacement. The hard top is leak-free.She is reliable on long distances, and runs beautifully. She has never left me by the side of the road, and is quite an eyeturner.I would include all the specialist tools and multiple handbooks and tuning guides.I am sad to part with her, but I"m getting to the age where I need to start rationalizing my collection of toys. The sailboat won! Please respond through this site with any questions or additional information you might require.
Thank you for your interest.
